Meeting OZSW reading group History of Phenomenology
10 December 2014 @ 10:00 - 12:00
|The next session of our “history of phenomenology” reading group will take place on 10 December, 10.00-12.00 and will also be the last one of 2014. Next year we will proceed with Husserl’s Ideas I (more details to follow).
Since we managed to finish Husserl’s discussion and critique of historicism and “world-view philosophy” and hence the article as a whole, I propose we read a handful of pages (barely 6 in english) from his 1900 Prolegomena to compare and contrast.
In § 67-70 he lays out the “Tasks for Pure Logic” which should clarify his own approach and why he thinks that no naturalistic or historicist account could ever play a foundational role for “philosophy as rigorous science”.
