On December 11th, we will hold the next CPP-Colloquium. The event will be a talk by Prof. Ingrid Robeyns (Utrecht University). The title of her presentation is: ” Limitarianism: Defending the Duty Not to be Rich “. Prof. Ingrid Robeyns holds the Chair Ethics of Institutions at Utrecht University, Faculty of Humanities and the Ethics Institute. She is also the chair of the Chamber Ethics/Practical Philosophy of the Dutch Research School of Philosophy (OZSW). Her research focuses on theories of…
On December 11th, we will hold the next CPP-Colloquium. The event will be a talk by Prof. Ingrid Robeyns (Utrecht University). The title of her presentation is: " Limitarianism: Defending the Duty Not to be Rich ". Prof. Ingrid Robeyns holds the Chair Ethics of Institutions at Utrecht University, Faculty of Humanities and the Ethics Institute. She is also the chair of the Chamber Ethics/Practical Philosophy of the Dutch Research School of Philosophy (OZSW). Her research focuses on theories of justice, economic ethics, and a cluster of normative questions related to demography, gender, the family, economic institutions and sustainability. She is currently writing up an interdisciplinary monograph on the capability approach (forthcoming with Open Book Publishers), and is editing an introductory ethics book (in Dutch) together with Martin van Hees and Thomas Nys (forthcoming 2014 with Uitgeverij Boom). Her last book Measuring Justice. Primary goods and Capabilities(Cambridge University Press, 2010) was co-edited with Harry Brighouse. The colloquium will take place from 15:15 to 17:00.
