Democracy is an object of political, philosophical and artistic conceptualization. Since Ancient Greece, it has been seen and performed in a variety of ways. The panel aims to explore various conjunctures putting "democracy" and "culture" together, and revisit the problem of the universal rationale underlying the notion of democratic culture.
