The Department of Theoretical Philosophy of the University of Groningen will host a workshop on Philosophy of Probability on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Program: 9:30-10:30 Richard Pettigrew (University of Bristol): On the accuracy of group credences 10:30-11:30 Jon Williamson (University of Kent): Two kinds of chance-credence principle 11:30-12:30 lunch 12:30-13:30 Leszek Wroński (Jagiellonian University in Kraków):                 Showing that one thing follows from another in formal epistemology, or: does the Principal                  Principle imply the Principle of Indifference  Venue: Faculty of Philosophy, University of Groningen, Oude Boteringestraat 52, 9712 GL  Groningen, The Netherlands. Admission is free but space is limited so please register before January 12 by contacting Patryk Dziurosz-Serafinowicz (p.dziurosz-serafinowicz@rug.nl), and indicate if you would like to join for lunch. The workshop will be followed by the public defense of Patryk Dziurosz-Serafinowicz’s dissertation “The Double Life of Probability: A Philosophical Study of Chance and Credence” at 14:30, Broerstraat 5, Aula, Groningen. Everyone is cordially invited to attend the workshop and the public defense!
