Workshop: New Perspectives on Human Dignity and Human Rights
16 April 2019 @ 13:00 - 18:00
The meaning, use and practical implications of the concept of human dignity continue to be a highly controversial topic. This holds for various applied contexts, and especially for its role within the human rights framework, but also for instance what regards the connections between a moral and a legal understanding of human dignity. In this small workshop we hope to shed light on different pressing questions about human dignity and human rights by approaching the topic from a variety of perspectives.
Participation is free of charge, but you are kindly asked to register before 8 April by sending a message to Marie Göbel: m.c.gobel@uu.nl. Please also indicate whether you would like to attend the workshop dinner (at your own expense) and if you have any dietary wishes.
