Please note that the first day of the symposium will end with the Spinoza lecture by Prof. Philomena Essed. The second day of the symposium is dedicated to excavating and interrogating specific concepts and questions raised by Mills’ work—issues of postcolonial justice, reparations, rectificatory justice, the racial contract and structural racism. Time: 16 and 17 June, 9.30-17.00. Venue: Universiteitstheater UvA, Nieuwe Doelenstraat 16-18, Amsterdam. Coffee, lunch and tea will be provided for registered participants to the symposium.
