Bringing together international scholars and young researchers in feminist theory, the conference explores the impact of feminist theory in philosophy and shows the diversity of its perspectives, from phenomenology, political theory to new feminist materialism. The symposium is organised as a collaboration between the Dutch Research School of Philosophy and The International Association of Women Philosophers (IAPh, www.women-philosophy.org). The IAPh is a professional association that provides a forum for discussion, interaction and cooperation among women engaged in teaching and research in all aspects of philosophy, with a particular emphasis on feminist philosophy. The association was founded in 1980 in Germany and has grown into an active international organisation with members from all over the world. The IAPh organises international conferences every two years. The upcoming 16th Symposium of IAPh: “Women and Philosophy: History, Values, Knowledge”, will be will be held at Monash University, Melbourne (Australia), 7-10 July, 2016.
