Prof. Ilina Singh - Moral Politics of Inattention: Adventures in LaLa Land 30.03.2023 from 3pm-4:30pm CET  Abstract: In this talk I first review some of the contested background to the diagnosis ‘Attention Deficit Disorder’ – or ADD – around definition, classification and gender in particular. I then move to a discussion of an empirical case (LaLa Land) that suggests a kind of moral experience found among young girls diagnosed with ADD. I use this case to challenge our intuitions about how to understand what’s going on in this case, and what might be the right thing to do (or not), with regard to intervention.
