Topic
There is a trend in contemporary philosophy to think about many different topics in terms of degrees: degrees of justification, degrees of  coherence, degrees of belief, degrees of vagueness, degrees of freedom, degrees of personhood, degrees of truth, degrees of being, and many more.
Degrees raise questions. Logical/epistemological ones (how can degrees be measured?), and metaphysical ones (what are degrees? What sorts of things do and what sorts of things don’t admit of  degrees—and why?)
This workshop addresses these questions.
