2021 Conference – Abstract Submission

The OZSW invites submissions for individual papers, symposia, and posters in all areas of philosophy. The program committee will strive for quality, variety, and diversity within the program. Please submit your abstract (350-500 words) through EasyChair by 1 September, 2021. You will be able to submit your abstract from 1 June onwards. We will notify all speakers by 30th September. All submissions should be in English.

Submit through this link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ozsw2021.

  • Proposals for individual papers: Please submit your proposal consisting of a 350-500 word abstract in pdf format, prepared for blind review. Papers will be allocated 30 minutes (including time for discussion). Please indicate what area of philosophy your paper falls under when submitting through EasyChair. Please paste your abstract in the dedicated space, and only upload a pdf if necessary (e.g. you use formulas).
  • Symposium proposals: Symposia will be allocated 90 minutes, including discussion. They can have any format. Submit your proposal in pdf format, prepared for blind review. Symposia proposals should include the symposium title, a description of the symposium’s rationale (up to 500 words) and the title and abstract (350-500 words) of each of the individual presentations that will constitute the session. Please indicate what area of philosophy your symposium falls under when submitting through EasyChair. If you submit a symposium, please put the whole proposal (description and all abstracts) in a single pdf file, and submit the symposium as a single paper, with all the participating authors as co-authors, and make sure that the first name of the submission starts with “symposium”. This way, we will recognize it as a symposium.
  • Proposal for posters: Please submit your proposal for a poster in pdf format, and prepare it for blind review. The proposal should consist of a 350-500 word abstract, indicating the structure that will appear on your poster. Posters will be presented during a dedicated poster presentation session. Poster presenters will have the opportunity (but are not obliged) to present a 1-minute pitch of their poster to the audience of the conference as part of one of the keynote sessions. Please indicate whether you want to make use of this opportunity when submitting. Please paste your abstract in the dedicated space, and only upload a pdf if necessary (e.g. you use formulas).
