Dear all, I am happy to inform you that the OZSW Research Seminar for Analytic Philosophy will continue in academic year 2017/2018. As in previous years, the seminars take place every second Wednesday of the month, from 14:15 to 17:00, at Utrecht University. The seminar provides participants with the opportunity to discuss drafts of written work, as well as important recent publications in the field of analytic philosophy. Conference ”The Icon as Cultural Model: Past, Present and Future”
Journalists, artists and scholars, among others, tend to refer to iconic events or images from the past in order to better understand present-day developments. For example, in the wake of the American elections media repeatedly referred to the iconic ‘years of crisis’ of the thirties of the last century.
