Postgraduate Conference in Critical Political Thought 2015 Amsterdam, 25-26 June University of Amsterdam The idea for a postgraduate conference in critical political thought emerged from our desire, as a group of research masters students at the UvA, to share, exchange and challenge our work by establishing a cross-disciplinary dialogue that reaches beyond mainstream political thought. In this spirit, the conference aims to create a sense of community among postgraduate students in the Netherlands who work in various traditions of critical political thought, by providing them with the opportunity to present in a congenial atmosphere. MA and PhD students are invited to submit abstracts. As a suggestion, contributions might come from the following areas of political thought: Marxist and post-Marxist thought, Frankfurt school, critical theory, post-structuralist, post-colonial and feminist theory. But of course, abstracts from any other area of critical political thought will be considered. The conference will consist of presentations of 15-20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Submissions should be sent to Tom Coggins, at: amspostgrad2015@gmail.com and be around 500 words in length. The deadline for abstracts is the 20th of May. Participants will be notified by the end of the same month.
There is no registration or participation fee. For any further inquiries please contact amspostgrad2015@gmail.com
