First, the course provides insight into recent work on the main normative theories (consequentialism, Kantian ethics, and virtue ethics), different methods of moral justification, and the use of theories and methods of justification within contemporary applied ethics. The overarching aim of the course is to help participants to improve their skills as researchers in philosophical ethics.
