‘Autonomous Belief’ lecture by Dr. J. Adam Carter
1 December 2022 @ 15:30 - 17:00
The Abraham Kuyper Center cordially invites you to attend a talk on the topic of ‘Knowledge and Autonomous Belief’, to be given by Dr J. Adam Carter (University of Glasgow).
The main objective of this talk is to motivate an ‘epistemic autonomy’ condition on propositional knowledge, and to contextualise the significance of this condition with reference to actual and possible cases where a thinker relies on new technologies to gain true beliefs.
The talk will take place at VU Amsterdam on Thursday the 1st of December 2022, in room Agora 3 of the main building of the VU. The talk will begin at 15:30 and end at 17:00, including a Q&A session.
