Description

Ruling over Digital Lives: New Perspectives on Power & Domination in Technology
This workshop brings together political philosophers and philosophers of technology to examine the implications of digital technologies for values such as freedom and equality. The nature of technology-induced power raises a range of normative questions about how to conceptualize its effects on human freedom and the demands of justice. We will focus in particular on relations of domination on social media, algorithmic power, and the transformative impact of AI on lived experience.
