Aim / objective
The Prom aims to bring together all members in the field of History of Philosophy in the Netherlands to get to know each other and be updated on each other’s work. It will also include the launching of the new OZSW ‘History of Philosophy‘ section.
The Prom will close with a drink.
N.b.: there is no specific dress code.

10.30 – 11.00: Registration
11.00– 12.00: Han van Ruler, OZSW History of Philosophy section president: “The Early -Modern Concept of Reason – And My Dealings With It”
12.00 – 13.00: Lunch
13.00 – 15.00: PhD-student presentations
15.00 – 15.30 Break
15.30: – 16.30: Panel Session with Arjan van Dijk (Brill), Christoph Lüthy (RUN) and Han van Ruler (EUR) on editing and publishing in the History of Philosophy
16.30: Drinks!
Required preparations
PhD-students in the History of Philosophy are kindly invited to prepare a 10-minute presentation at the Prom, in which you describe your PhD-project to your peers in ‘biographical’ terms: What brought you to it? Did you come to have doubts at any point? How is the work going?
Visual support tools are available, but you are not required to use them.

Participation is free but registration is required.
