Programme of “Mind the Gap: (In)famous Oppositions in the History of Philosophy”

Dear OZSW members,

What is lost when we sever philosophy and its history into opposing camps? Or does it actually help our understanding to classify authors as analytical versus continental, rationalist rather than empiricist, realists and nominalists, Aristotelians and Platonists? What conception of philosophy lies behind such oppositions?

The program of the two-day course “Mind the Gap: (In)famous Oppositions in the History of Philosophy”, that will take place in Nunspeet on 12 and 13 May 2017 is now available.

Please register on the event’s webpage.
