Register as OZSW member

Below you can find registration forms for our different types of membership. You can find all the information on the memberships here. Below you can find a quick overview:

    • If you are a senior researcher and not sure whether you are employed by one of the founding faculties, please first check our list of founding partners.
    • If you are a PhD candidate affiliated to department/faculty of philosophy of one of the 12 founding universities and want to become a Regular PhD member, check this list of contact persons who you can contact about the approval of your membership. PhD candidates who want to become an Associate PhD Member do not need approval.
    • If you are a Research Master student, the Research Master program coordinator or Graduate School coordinator will report new students to the OZSW Office, who will confirm their membership after having processed their membership.

We will try and process membership applications as soon as possible. However it may take up to two weeks.

Before you become a member, please read our Privacy Statement. When you become a Senior or PhD member your member profile will be added to the public membership directory for the network purposes of the OZSW.

Scholars with a PhD degree, who are affiliated with one of the founding partners and publish their philosophical research in relevant academic journals and with academic presses.

Associate Senior member

Scholars with a PhD degree, who are affiliated with a Dutch university or knowledge institute and publish their philosophical research in relevant academic journals and with academic presses.

  • Affiliated with one of the 12 participating universities, but with another department/faculty than those found through the link above – such as an ‘University Medical Center’ or a department of law or political sciences.
  • Affiliated with another university than the 12 participating universities, such as Wageningen University or Open Universiteit Nederland.
  • Affiliated with a non-Dutch university and wish to have a professional affiliation with the Dutch academic philosophical community.

Regular PhD member

PhD candidates who are writing a PhD dissertation in philosophy, or a dissertation that entails a strong philosophical component at a Dutch academic institute.

  • Those affiliated with a department/faculty of philosophy of one of the 12 founding universities.
PhD candidates can send this registration form and send it to the contact person of their institute who will decide and sign for their membership. The OZSW will send the bill to the department / faculty.

Associate PhD member

PhD candidates who are writing a PhD dissertation in philosophy, or a dissertation that entails a strong philosophical component at a Dutch academic institute.

  • Those affiliated with one of the 12 participating universities, but with another department/faculty than those found through the link above – such as an ‘universitair medisch centrum’ or a department of law or political sciences.
  • Those affiliated with another university than the 12 participating universities, such as Wageningen University or Open Universiteit Nederland.
