The disagreement, however, does not lie in the former statement but rather in what change is feasible and desirable. Over the last decades a debate arose in political philosophy about whether and how political philosophers need to take into account feasibility constraints in their (theory of justice and) institutional design. In this chapter I will discuss different notions of feasibility that are raised in the current debate on political feasibility and evaluate how different distinctions are useful for designing and evaluating ecological limitarian institutions in an unequal and warming world.
